How “The Story of...you” was born...
As an adoptive parent who has spent countless hours thinking and reading about how to tell my child their story, I searched for resources and was shocked to find almost nothing that is personalized to help you tell your child THEIR adoption story.
There are countless resources that tell us how important it is to tell your child their adoption story, and several children’s books that talk about adoption in general (usually involving bears or other cartoon animal families).
But there are no books/resources that tell YOUR CHILD'S real, actual adoption story... other than a few books that let you put your child’s name in a generic adoption story, or books full of empty pages to fill in and glue photos to the book (old school scrapbook style!).
Experts agree it is best to share your child’s adoption story with them openly, honestly, and from the beginning. Telling and normalizing their story helps them know that there is nothing shameful about their story. And instills a sense of belonging and self-identity.
So I decided to create a fully customizable story book that actually tells YOUR CHILD'S unique story, with your photos.
